Women's Suits

Date:

Saturday May 13

Time:

11:00 AM  –  11:50 AM

Women’s suits took on many forms in the 20th century, but their one unifying trait was that they were intended for activities outside of the home. Whether meeting for lunch or marching in the streets, the suit was the essential garment of the modern woman. Join us to learn more about the evolution of women's suits and suit separates.

Behind the Seams offers a peek into MOHAI’s collection and the chance to see treasures that are usually kept in storage! These intimate one-hour sessions, led by MOHAI’s Costume and Textile Specialist, allow viewers to discover garments in detail and hear the stories that make them special.

Your ticket includes full access to the museum. Come early or stick around after Behind the Seams to explore MOHAI and current special exhibit Edible City: A Delicious Journey.
