Join the MOHAI Mercantile for the book launch of Odyssey of a Seattle Native Son with author Carver Clark Gayton and historian Jennifer Ott.

Hear from Dr. Gayton about his family roots in abolition, his civic life, his rich perspective on the last century, and the necessity of taking a stand.

  • Doors open at 6pm for an hour of community building and an activity with Black Heritage Society and the Black Genealogy Research Group. 
  • Conversation and Q&A begin at 7pm, followed by a book signing by the author.
