Educator Workshop: Finding & Using Primary Sources

This event is no longer on sale.

Saturday October 4

10:00 AM  –  2:00 PM

This educator workshop is all about how to find and use the right historic materials for your K-12 classroom. Learn how to conduct research using MOHAI's collection and build engaging activities that help students think like historians. You’ll spend time in the workshop learning about and practicing strategies for finding, selecting, and exploring primary sources with students with the support of MOHAI educators.

This workshop is ideal for teachers (or future teachers) who have been interested in finding their own primary source materials or incorporating more local history into lessons, but need some help getting started or are looking for fresh ideas and perspectives.

Coffee and lunch provided. Three clock hours are available through Puget Sound Educational Service District.

Registration will close October 2nd. Capacity is limited so register soon!

Cost: $10 without clock hours. $25 with clock hours. Need-based scholarships available. Please contact education@mohai.org for details.
