Curators Fellowship Workshop

Date:

Saturday September 10

Time:

1:00 PM  –  2:30 PM

MOHAI is excited to announce Brittney Frantece as our first annual Curator’s Fellow. The Curator’s Fellowship invites community and academic historians to bring a new perspective to MOHAI’s extensive collections. Brittney will analyze photographs in the Al Smith Collection, which tell the story of Seattle's Black community in the mid-twentieth century, for how they demonstrate Black worldbuilding in Seattle. She will then connect these works to contemporary artists continuing the legacy of imagining alternative ways of being and knowing across the US.

Register to hear more about Brittney Frantece's research and participate in an interactive workshop!
